Am I propping this properly?!
Yeah that looks right to me! As long as one of the nodes are consistently underwater you’ll eventually get some roots. Roots only grow from the nodes (which I circled in that pic you gave). It’ll take a few weeks but once there are a few inches of roots you should be able to plant it in soil! Or you can keep it living in water for as long as you want if you add fertilizer to the water.

Okay! It’s been about a week so it had me wondering if I was doing it properly. Thank you!
1 mi piaceMake sure it’s in a well lit area but not in direct sun! The leaves still need to get plenty of light to help the new roots grow. Sometimes it just takes a little longer, but as long as the vine isn’t too long, it should start to grow roots.

Sounds good. Thank you! It’s been under a grow light since the weather has changed. There hasn’t been too much sun. Think that’s still okay?
0 Mi piaceIt should be, it might just take a little longer! As long as it’s not getting too cold and the leaves aren’t yellowing that’s a good sign. If you can, you could always get some rooting hormone to add to the water to help it along. Another option would be to add a few more cuttings because they’ll help each other along with rooting hormones.
