My pothos propagations keep dying and rotting. What am I doing wrong? Please help! I change out the water weekly. I use filtered water. It has decent light but also isn’t in direct sunlight. Should I try a rooting hormone? Any and all tips are appreciated! Thank you!

I recently heard someone who recommended NOT changing the water. I’m not sure I’m sold, but then I kinda end up doing it anyways when I forget about long-term props 😅 I guess the theory is that the plant releases it’s own hormones into the water, and it has to start over if you dump the water. I would definitely still do a water change if it’s cloudy or smells funky. Algae is fine though in my opinion

I always make sure I let my cuttings fully callus over before adding them into the water. Often times if water gets into the stem it stars a slow rot that turns cuttings to mush. Give that a try with some fresh clippings ☺️

Don’t bother buying the rooting hormone. Use cinnamon just dip the end in it. Because cinnamon has natural rooting hormones in it and less fillers

Do your cuttings have more than one node? I’ve had the same problem with single node cuttings.

Yeah. They all have at least 2. Most have more
