Hi, new plant parent here, I adopted this Monstera from Target a month or so ago & shes doing well 🙂 I was wondering if i can water propagate this stem, as I see a node or aerial root (correct me on which one please) popping out, or would it not be wise to propagate just yet? (Also, I took that velcro on top off)

You absolutely can. Just be sure and trim it at the base and get a node. Give the mother ship plant food and love and he’ll flourish even with this section gone. 🌿

You could certainly chop n prop below that node. Personally I’d leave it for now. It looks like there are several plants or shoot offs in the pot. If this were my plant baby, i would wait till next Spring. Crack open the soil and see what’s really going on in there. If you really want another plant or two. You could just separate them if there are multiple under the soil. They grow fast, and it might even out grow that pot next year. I just found ‘kill this plant’ channel on youtube. He has a lot of vids on propagating monstera. Really helpful. Have fun and enjoy your beautiful plant baby. 😍💚
