Hello! I’ve had this monstera planted in water for just over a year now and noticed it’s trying to sprout a new leaf! Now I’m tempted to put it in soil but I’m not sure if I should because it’s been in water for so long. Any suggestions?

It would be a bit harder to get it acclimated in soil. You will have to keep it constantly moist which could possibly cause root rot. I think it looks prettier in water cause you can see everything!

I agree I love my hydroponic plants!! Maybe some fertilizer that’s safe for hydro plants could help provide some nutrients that soil would!🫶🏻

Putting it in soil is not an issue. You just need the right size pot to allow room for the roots to grow. I kept a Queen of the Night leaf in water for over 20 years and it’s now 5 feet wide in soil.
