Completely new to gardening and wanted to start with Lemongrass, a little stressed about the seeds cause i’ve never done this before, but I hope they come through 💗 Tips and advice are always welcome. I started in the tray covered because that was what was recommended to keep the humidity and heat in, although it’s always like that here
Good start. Also keep in mind that some seeds will not be viable. If you plant 10 seeds, at most 8 will germinate. Getting seeds from reputable sources with germination percentages will minimize any disappointments.
4 J'aime thank you! there was about 100 seeds in the pack so i used a good 30% in each and just hope for the best lol. I have a few more packs if needed ☺️

I personally love “botanical interest” as a seed brand the potential for viable seeds is typically higher. Also I have a “jiffy green house starting kit”. It helps start the seeds and then you can transplant the sprouts. You also buy extra peat pellets. I also follow almost the exact instructions on the back of the seed packets. (Sometimes ignoring anything about 1st frost.)
2 J'aime thank you! I will look into those seed brands :)) I used a brand called Sow Right Seeds (my bf ordered them so he got flexuosus instead of citratus on accident but it’s ok cause i’m using it more for herbalism than cooking)
2 J'aime Nice and steamy for day 3, I just moved them into the shade they were in the sun all morning, i’m just worried about the sun overheating them
A lot of people like to germinate their seeds first before planting so if all goes wrong I’d try that method there’s nothing wrong with this it’s just unpredictable what the yield would look like since not every seed will work.
