I’m propagating a mini monstera. While I was changing its water, I noticed the root it began to grow rotted and came off. The node look healthy now, but will it still propagate? I put it back in water.

Be sure to keep the roots out of direct sunlight (I use wine bottles because the glass is darker) and change the water every few days. Also helps to not use cold water

Will it take longer to root now? Or is the node not affected? I was doing weekly water changes with room temperature water. I’ll change the water sooner now.

It’s hard to tell from the picture because of the shadows but if the rest of the root isn’t dark and mushy I think you’ll be good
