Hi plant friends🤎 I got this ficus elastica Tineke a little over a week ago on sale at big box store ! I think I should repot her… the roots are coming out the top! What do you think?

    Yeah I would probably repot her! I’ve seen aerial roots before at the base of ficus plants also, which I think might be those roots that you see. I just wouldn’t size up the pot. Since they like to dry out A LOT more soil could make it harder for them to soak up all the water and give it root rot. Not to mention the soil big box stores use is not very airy at all!

      Thanks Sarah!!! I ended up repotting her in a pot that was just a little bigger (7 inch wide instead of 6) and taller! Also made a better soil mix so that she has lots of breathing room in her soil 🪴thanks for the info and help
