These can take months to root. Two suggestions: 1) try rooting in sphagnum or 2) put the cuttings in an opaque vessel. It may still take a while, but not as long as in a clear container!

I found that my pothos cuttings root faster in a dark vase I have than in clear jars… the algae that grows in the clear jars could explain it, as the transparent glass lets all the light in!

I change water once a week. Time… First time I propo’d my monstera it took weeks to get a root.
1 mi piaceRooting powder is typically used if putting directly into soil I think. I don’t know if it works if you use it in water only.

It works great in water because it actually reduces instances of root rot and the like. :)
2 Mi piaceSo you put the powder right in the water then?
1 mi piaceAlso is it an Aglaonema? They take forever to root in water. As long as the leaves look good and the end isn’t rotting they will eventually root with just water and time.
