I usually just lay the leaves on top or slightly press the end into the soil. But if they already have roots, put the roots under dirt!

Have you grown cacti from seeds before? I’m imagining that they take a long time but I don’t have any experience with that. Curious.

I have never grown them from seeds before. I bought them from Etsy and all of the reviews said they sprouted in 2-20 days but no luck so far. When I google how long it takes, it says weeks or months tho.

How do you get them to turn into toddlers instead of babies? Every time mine are trying to get bigger they die?

Hmm I mist when the soil dries out on top (every other day ish) and water when all of the soil is dry (every 1.5-2 weeks). Maybe they need more light? Tbh I’ve never had any issues.

Oh and make sure you don’t remove the mother leaf until it’s completely shriveled and dead. The baby gets all the nutrients to survive from the leaf.

How long does it generally take for your leaves to create little babies? Sooo neat! I’m hoping for some success with mine!

Maybe a few weeks. Most of these are from one plant that just won’t stop growing!
