I just got this black velvet alocasia not even two weeks ago and upon bringing it home I noticed this… I’m assuming it’s a baby! But where do I go from here?

If it is a corm, I would separate it just to avoid them fighting for nutrients or you can keep it together for a bit & see how it goes

That is new leaf forming. It’s not from a corm. Its sprouting off the mother plant. Just getting a new 2nd leaf. All good! Just water when soil is 50% dry, like normal. I will say your pot/soil looks a but too big for a 1-2 leaf plant. Be careful with overwatering. Wait till the new leaf has fully cone in and hardened off to downsize your pot, so not to stress it too much.
0件のいいねI agree about the pot but I just recently purchased from FB and I’m scared to repot right now but waiting seems like a great idea! Thanks so much! -also excited about a new leaf possibility:)
