The top of my flaming Katy broke off, so I’ve had it in water for a little over a week. Any tips to help it get roots faster? We’re heading out of town this weekend and I’m not sure what to do with it. If I can plant him in soil I can take him with me.
just leave it in a cup with a little more water, mine rooted well after i left and i came back to a plant ready to pot

There should be tiny roots appearing when you return :) I keep mine in water for about two weeks before I start seeing thin roots appear.
