In January I saw a video about rooting an acorn, and have been caring for this little one since late February. Now it’s June, and we got a couple new tiny leaves this week!

That’s amazing! šŸ’ššŸ’ššŸ’š How did you do it? I just planted a bunch of acorns (English Oak) because I want to make a bonsai forest, but I really don’t know what to expect. They were cold stratified and I followed the instructions to the letter, but I’m not too confident. I’ve tried other trees from seeds before, as well, and I’ve only been able to grow two crĆŖpe myrtle successfully.

I put like 5 in a ziploc with a wet paper towel and waited 40-45 days and one out of the 5 had sprouted so I put that one in water as seen in the picture and after 5 months transferred to soil ! Hope this helps!

I think the rest might not be viable, but this one tiny little dude is precious. He’s called Dru.
