So I got a clipping of this lovely plant and it wasn’t a clean cut (ripped off plant) and after a few days looked slimy at the bottom of node… so I chopped off the damaged bottom of node and started fresh (added some plant food to water this time) will she make it?? Why are the leaves doing this? 🥲🥲

I’d also trim of that lowest leaf. Give you more stem and roots will likely sprout from that lowest node. 🙏

It will also help direct energy into making roots if there is one less leaf. Is there something in the water?

Yes there is. I added a nutrient solution for propagations!

I’ve had that issue and I would change my water every other day and just rinse the stem gently and all was well.

I was wondering if I could propagate my Chinese evergreen! I’ll have to try it. I’ve only propagated two of my plants, and I always feel slightly guilty for chopping off part of my plant 😂
