So I’m trying to propagate this gigant lol. Problem is, the leaf is too heavy I think. It’s tipping more and more. What do I do? 🙁 UPDATE: I put the plant in that big glass container and against the window. I also added rooting hormone and lentil powder to the water. FINGERS CROSSED! 🤞🏽

    1) The cup looks to small 2) Is there any nodes a lot of plants need those in order to propagate plants

Yeah 😕 I figured that was part of the issue. Imma go buy a bigger one today I don’t have any at home. And also, I just uploaded another picture I’m not sure tbh if it has nodes or not 🤨 I hope so 😭

Use a larger vase and maybe add some decorative rocks to the bottom to add more weight so it doesnt tip as easily

Ohhhh rocks would help for sure! I’ll add that to today’s shopping list besides a larger vase. 🫡🫡🫶🏽

Get LECA instead, and make sure to clean them thoroughly before putting them in the vase. I don’t see a node in the photos you uploaded, but maybe it will still grow roots (it happened to me with a Pothos stem that didn’t have a node). Make sure to add some root propagating food to the water to increase your chances.

Oh no 😔 I hope it grows roots! It’s only been in water for 2 days. Is leca better than just water? I have some root hormone but is powder. Should I buy a liquid one? My fingers are so crossed rn with my poor plant I don’t want it to die 🥺

Leca is the clay ball things that you add to pots in lieu of soil, or you add to propagation. But there are some good liquid fertilizers online!

I was just researching about lentil powder. 😱 it says it can be added to the propagation water and it’ll promote rooting 🤩 trying it today while I get a liquid fertilizer 💪🏽🙂

I lean mine against a wall or window but you can always get a skewer or Bambi peice and use plant tape to connect
