Can I cut from this stem and add it to my main pot for a secondary branch?

    Yes, but you would need to put it in water first till it develops roots.

    Will the roots grow together and cause any issues or is there anything special about adding it to the same pot

    I chopped and propped this pothos back into the same pot. It was also one long vine. It’s now much fuller, but the pot is very rooty because there are technically multiple plants in the same pot. Putting the cuttings back into the soil will work best if you have a good light source over the top of the plant.
