So this leaf was turning a light color so I broke it off and put it in water.. is this how you do it? Do I need something? I feel like I’m missing something.

      Yesss that looks like a node, I’ll attach a pic of a node

      Unfortunately it won’t prop and root unless there is a node, you can keep it in water for a short time decoration tho 😅
