Potted this tiny Donkeys Tail a few weeks ago. Haven’t noticed any growth. Worried it won’t root. Any thoughts or suggestions?? First time taking a baby and trying to get it to grow.

    I’m not a professional at succulent type plants, but from what I know they do tend to grow pretty slowly. You may not notice anything for a while. I do think your pot is way too big for the size of cutting you have though. I don’t know when you planted this guy, but it may be worth sizing way down to a tiny 1-2” pot. Most plants don’t like having that much space.

    I’m doing the same. It’s very slow. Just water and let it dry out totally. Because there isn’t a big root system you don’t have to worry about ton about watering super deeply. If you water deeply early on you can cause root rot. I’m getting the top soil wet and letting that go a week or so before watering again.
