First coriander sprouts! Is this twins or does it normally grow like this? Noticed two roots from the seed when I planted it but I figured maybe that was normal for coriander.

    A whole coriander seed has 2 embryos! That's why most gardeners crush them in half before sowing. It shouldn't affect development that much

    I suppose it could be two separate plants, but some plants have two cotyledons. They are basically two starter leaves that end up shriveling away after the true leaves form.

      Oh I thought all plants had the 2 cotyledon leaves! I didn’t know some could only have 1 how interesting!!! This is only my second season growing from seed tho so what I don’t know could fill the ocean. 😂

    I think it's mostly grasses that have one cot.. grasses are monocots and other plants are dicots.
