UPDATE from January 30 - exactly 35 days of African Mask Corm experiment . Findings: sphagnum - growing other things perlite- baby leaf success leca- one leaf unfurling pon- growing moss fluval stratum- no sign of life classic water- considerable root growth

Huh interesting. That sphagnum really went wild! And the pon looks like a sad cup of peas lol. I’ve had luck with stratum myself. But it looks like it was a no-go for you. Edit: oh I missed the leca and perlite leaves. Go little sprouts, go!
