👋 Plant Newbie here! Has anyone heard of putting Pothos cuttings into your propagation water & propogation cuttings? I am trying it out with a few cuttings, but don’t know if I should commit any further to four more containers of cuttings. Thanks! 🪴
It apparently has a natural rooting hormone.. 🧐🤷♀️

That’s what I do. I noticed that when I had a brasil philodendron propagating for quite a while and no signs of roots, that when I stuck a pothos cutting in there it started pretty quickly producing some roots. I luckily was already propagating a ton of pothos so I just spread them all out and stuck them in the rest of my props. If it’s not working they sure do look really nice all mixed together

Yes just put cutting in water a couple weeks you will have roots and can plant. Also use their water for other plants. Natural rooting hormone in their water

1 j'aime Perfect! I will do that. I have Coleus cuttings and they are drinking this water up quick! I check the water level in the morning and then before bed. I hope that is a good sign lol!

Yes! My golden pothos and neon pothos are my prop boosters ☺️ They release more rooting hormone and encourage root growth in other props. I do this with both water and perlite propagation. Absolutely works!
1 j'aime Fantastic! How about with avocado seeds in water method - do you suppose that would help as well?
0 J'aime The same should apply, but avocados grow quite slowly so I’m not sure if you would see the boost in growth like with houseplants. Totally worth trying!
1 j'aime I added it since I’ve been soaking two of them for a while and they have small cracks so maybe it will help!
