Woah I didn’t know the roots of that plant look like that lol. What is it that you’re needing help with? Repotting?

the root on this one is WILD! it’s only a year old. i was a bit nervous about separating the baby but with some googling i’ve cut into two, leaving both with root - fingers crossed😅

Looks like you did great!! I don’t have many succulents, but the ones I do have verrrry fine roots. These chonky ones are heavy duty! In my experience, the thicker the roots the sturdier the plant. So if that theory is true, these two should be bulletproof! 😂 I like ‘em. Lol as if I need another plant on my endless wishlist 🤣

those are some nice roots! once the wounds are calloused, i would put them in a pot or pots slightly larger than the whole root system (should be a relatively snug fit) in something like a plastic nursery pot with lots of drainage holes or a terracotta pot so the moisture is wicked away. succulents like to dry out quickly. use a chunky mix with lots of inorganic matter aka grit. my succulent mix is 50-70% pumice and perlite and 30-50% moisture retentive media like all purpose potting soil, compost, and/or coir, depending on what i have on hand and the species. a 50/50 ratio of grit and soil works well for aloe in my experience.
