My ginseng ficus when I first got him he was full of leaves but then a month later is started to fall this was in October is last year and now in may is almost leafless it has the little leaves in the branches but they are not bloom like coming out idk why but right now the only leaves it has are turning yellow soo they might fall too soon if I don’t do something I think it because I sleep with a ceiling fan and maybe that the reason they are falling buttt please hello me I don’t want him to die

Orchid Lovers! Is she saveable??? She had multiple rounds of root rot until I finally bought orchid bark. I had to very drastically cut back her root system and she dropped 5 leaves! Now her last two roots look moldy but I’ve been following the watering schedule! I’m worried that if I cut these she won’t have any way to get nutrients and die, but if I leave the mold will spread and kill her. Any ideas?

I’m a plant newb… only about 6 weeks in and so far, so good, except my rattlesnake and one prayer plant. They both keep yellowing and I’m unsure why. My windows are north facing so u use grow lights but I’m getting such different results from my prayer ones. For context, the rattlesnake and prayer photographed together are in my bedroom, and the other prayer is in my living room, further from the balcony but both rooms have grow lights and humidifiers. Any idea what could be the problem?

Heyy, I got a dracaena that someone gave away. She looked quite unhappy i suppose. Her stems were and still are really thin. She’s doing much better now, growing lots of new leaves but i’m just worried about the thin stem. Should i leave it the way she is? What should i do?

I revived my dying calathea by placing it outside on my patio, covered in a plastic grocery bag. Now that it’s sprouted again, I’m not sure if I should continue keeping it covered or if it will be okay uncovered, outside watered with distilled and rain water? My apartment doesn’t stay humid enough I think, though I’m looking into a humidifier. All tips appreciated!

I moved all of my plants to my balcony on my north facing wall, so it only gets about 3-4 hours of afternoon sunlight. I thought that would be fine, and if anything not enough direct light, but then I noticed some discoloration/bleaching on the leaves of my velvet leaf philodendron and prayer plant… Is this just a sunburn? Can it be remedied with simply moving them out of direct light? Or does it look like it could be something else? A little more context: the prayer plant I repotted from a pot with a mold issue, and the philodendron I most recently bought and repotted from its nursery pot.

Orchid Rescue These orchids were left too long in a wet environment which caused most of their roots to rot and have to be removed. I had to remove a majority of the roots. I gave them a rice water soaking to stimulate root development and ended up removing more roots from one of them before starting to grow them in a hydroponic environment. Now they’re living on my windowsill. Here are some pictures:

I could use some advice about my polka dot plant 😢 When I bought it, it was pretty full but AI told me I should prune because it had many crispy edges. After the pruning, it proceed to lose all of its leaves and today it’s just a few new sprouts as pictured. What did I do wrong? Can it recover? It has good indirect light in my living room and I try to generally keep it moist, not wet, not dry. Thanks in advance! -new plant mom

I recently got some plants from a friend, can I get some help identifying these and what their care is? How can I help these guys get better? Could I propagate these plants to help even out their growth and look better in their pots? Edit: I forgot to take a picture of the bonsai… I’ve never had a bonsai and my friend said it’s definitely on its last leg. She said she hasn’t been watering very consistently and it needs a lot of light. I’m going to keep it under a grow light for now but any tips on bringing it back? I’m not sure what type of plant it is, the leaves are very spikey.

Luckily, all my plants are doing well, however, I have been dealing with quite a few more gnats than normal and I’m wondering if anyone has any tips on getting back to as little as possible? In reality, I know I have a lot of plants and am going to have some gnats but it’s getting bothersome now and I want to fix it before it starts affecting the plants. Any tips are welcome, thank you!

Do any of you think my birds of paradise is done for? I had to replace the soil about 2 weeks ago because it was infested with fungus gnats, the roots and soil weren’t dry when I repotted her so I didn’t feel the need to water it. It recently had one of the leaves like this so I bottom watered it and was misting it as well. Is it done for? Do I cut the leaf off?? Help 😭
