Orchid Lovers! Is she saveable??? She had multiple rounds of root rot until I finally bought orchid bark. I had to very drastically cut back her root system and she dropped 5 leaves! Now her last two roots look moldy but Iāve been following the watering schedule! Iām worried that if I cut these she wonāt have any way to get nutrients and die, but if I leave the mold will spread and kill her. Any ideas?
Good morning friends. Does anyone know how to add self watering pots to the app. Thanks
Hey folks, what is going on with my money plant? Sheās been thriving but just noticed some weird spots on the edges of a couple leaves š±
Iām a plant newb⦠only about 6 weeks in and so far, so good, except my rattlesnake and one prayer plant. They both keep yellowing and Iām unsure why. My windows are north facing so u use grow lights but Iām getting such different results from my prayer ones. For context, the rattlesnake and prayer photographed together are in my bedroom, and the other prayer is in my living room, further from the balcony but both rooms have grow lights and humidifiers. Any idea what could be the problem?
anyone have any idea what this is from? Is it scale? I can remove it without damaging the plant and it smells sweet like sap. FYI: this is not the exact picture of my plant but an example!
Heyy, I got a dracaena that someone gave away. She looked quite unhappy i suppose. Her stems were and still are really thin. Sheās doing much better now, growing lots of new leaves but iām just worried about the thin stem. Should i leave it the way she is? What should i do?
I revived my dying calathea by placing it outside on my patio, covered in a plastic grocery bag. Now that itās sprouted again, Iām not sure if I should continue keeping it covered or if it will be okay uncovered, outside watered with distilled and rain water? My apartment doesnāt stay humid enough I think, though Iām looking into a humidifier. All tips appreciated!
Why??? Itās been 3 days! Why do I have so many leaves yellowing and blooms looking sad?!š¢
Hi all! I need some help with these rescued plants. I found them in a dumpster and took them home but Iām not sure what they need. I have already repotted them in a draining pot and watered them. They are both snake plants (I think) Any tips would be much appreciated!!
HELP ! Iāve had her for 5 years decided to recently repot because she wasnāt growing or dying but now sheās gotten worse
I moved all of my plants to my balcony on my north facing wall, so it only gets about 3-4 hours of afternoon sunlight. I thought that would be fine, and if anything not enough direct light, but then I noticed some discoloration/bleaching on the leaves of my velvet leaf philodendron and prayer plant⦠Is this just a sunburn? Can it be remedied with simply moving them out of direct light? Or does it look like it could be something else? A little more context: the prayer plant I repotted from a pot with a mold issue, and the philodendron I most recently bought and repotted from its nursery pot.
Orchid Rescue These orchids were left too long in a wet environment which caused most of their roots to rot and have to be removed. I had to remove a majority of the roots. I gave them a rice water soaking to stimulate root development and ended up removing more roots from one of them before starting to grow them in a hydroponic environment. Now theyāre living on my windowsill. Here are some pictures:
Finally some good news! š š Isaac has been doing just wonderful recently, Iāve kept up my promise to recover him! All his leaves are firm, green, and heās even working on some new growth lately! So proud of how heās recovered
My spider plant S was overpotted by her previous owner. And I saw that her leaves were not growing as well as they should have. So I mad her a small pot and she is doing better. Left is before and right is after.
I could use some advice about my polka dot plant š¢ When I bought it, it was pretty full but AI told me I should prune because it had many crispy edges. After the pruning, it proceed to lose all of its leaves and today itās just a few new sprouts as pictured. What did I do wrong? Can it recover? It has good indirect light in my living room and I try to generally keep it moist, not wet, not dry. Thanks in advance! -new plant mom
I recently got some plants from a friend, can I get some help identifying these and what their care is? How can I help these guys get better? Could I propagate these plants to help even out their growth and look better in their pots? Edit: I forgot to take a picture of the bonsai⦠Iāve never had a bonsai and my friend said itās definitely on its last leg. She said she hasnāt been watering very consistently and it needs a lot of light. Iām going to keep it under a grow light for now but any tips on bringing it back? Iām not sure what type of plant it is, the leaves are very spikey.
Hi all, do you think this plant can be revived again? Or do you think itās too late? The stem has died I think?
Luckily, all my plants are doing well, however, I have been dealing with quite a few more gnats than normal and Iām wondering if anyone has any tips on getting back to as little as possible? In reality, I know I have a lot of plants and am going to have some gnats but itās getting bothersome now and I want to fix it before it starts affecting the plants. Any tips are welcome, thank you!
