This is all that is left of a Spiderman monstera I bought earlier this year. I thought this was just a broken stem and almost threw it away with the dirt, but it’s actually a new shoot. Yesterday I gently cleaned it in plain water and removed any roots that seemed unhealthy. I left it to dry overnight because I was worried about rot if I put it straight into anything wet. Particularly because I removed some weird tick-looking thing from the main root that left a fairly big area exposed. Unfortunately it is looking a bit worse for the wear today. The shoot has noticeably browned since yesterday. Hoping the water perks it up, but is there anything else I can do to try to save this one?
