Help!!! Jennifer my Calathea has new shoots ups and new leafs ready to unravel but there are crispy ends and 2 leafs now that have died i think. i got her a grow light and a humidifier but they don’t seem to be helping her. Any ideas???

DoryThat pot looks super big and saturated… I’m no expert but it’s possible it could be waterlogged under the surface…?

i just repotted her into this pot a couple days ago, since this pot has drainage. You think i should try and repot her in something smaller?

I would honestly…. A pot that’s too big can cause watering imbalances. I know she’s stressed but leaving her in something too big is like asking a track star to run in shoes too big…

RootHappyIf I can throw my 2 cent in. I agree she needs a downgrade in pot size. And also, it has been my experience that being ruthless with cutting back ANYTHING that isn’t adding to its life was what worked for me. I cut back every leaf every root every shoot that died rotted mushed or crisped, bc I knew their roots are super resilient and push out new growth quickly if treated right. Mine bounced back bigger and better but I had to cut with no mercy, just my opinion

I’m so glad to hear that i really want to trim her up but i was scared of damaging her more!
