    Do you know what kind of plant Elmer is? My husband bought me one who’s looking scraggly and I’d love to be able to help it more!

      Chinese Elm Bonsai! Said to be about 2@ years old and well taken care of.

      My suggestion is to keep it watered as needed (top inch dry). I added fertilizer pellets 18-5-10 about 2 weeks ago and pruned the tips of the branches about a week ago…now this happened!

      Hi Mikel, I have to confess that all the little scraggly new growth I was excited about has now also withered and fallen off. How did you prune when you did it? And does yours like a lot of light? So far, you’re the only person I have found who is working with this same variety of bonsai who’s been willing to chat about it!
