Help! What is happening to my rubber tree plant? These white specks were not there last week and they are on several of the lower leaves. I have new growth and they are not on them. The plant is growing roots well outside its pot so I am repotting today. I also treat with neems oil spray that contains Castile soap and peppermint oil regularly. What are these specks and what can I do? Thanks for any suggestions.

0 LikesThey don’t wipe off. I used a mixture of neems oil, Castile soap and peppermint. Rubbed and rubbed.

0 LikesThese are normal for this plant on mature leaves. Most of the varieties do this, its just most noticeable on the Burgundy because of its dark leaves.

0 LikesThey’ll usually show up on the older leaves. So new leaves won’t have them. It will show up on your other plant :) It’s not a bad thing. It’s totally normal and not something to worry about. With all that being said, if these dots are moving around or easily wipe off, then it’s absolutely not normal! And needs to be addressed. A picture can only show so much :)
