Ugh. A frond got too wet and got moldy at the base. The Mold had already eaten through the whole base and I had to remove it. I’m about 2 weeks before I call it and get a new palm and try again…

    don't even bother with another palm, they're all fussy. if you want the palm look but without the drama, look into a Philodendron Elegans or P. Tortum. they're vines but the mature leaves are striking and very frond-like.

      I’ll need to double check to make sure that those are pet friendly, but I appreciate the recommendation!! Maybe 2 fussy plants are enough. 😅

      unfortunately no philodendrons are safe for pets 😞 are you looking because your furry friends like to nibble or just-in-case? if they left your palms alone they'd probably leave those philos alone.
