Honestly it kind of looks like some kind of water that had maybe some kind of fertilizer in it got dried on the leaves and left residue. Can you just wipe it off?
2 J'aimei’ll try now, thank you!!
1 j'aimeIt’s hard water stains, nothing to be concerned about, if you want you can try washing off with a mix of hydrogen peroxide, dish soap and water
3 J'aimeThank you so much!! do you think this will work without hydrogen peroxide as i don’t have any right now :/
1 j'aimeYeah I think so, could even use rubbing alcohol if you have that but not I think soap and water would do the trick
1 j'aimethank you very much! I've just done it and it's helped loads!
1 j'aimeyou see know knowledgeable on this, is there anyway to avoid hard water damage in the future?
1 j'aimeThat’s awesome! It’ll go away over time and cleaning the leaves often, so ways to avoid are two fold I think. First, make sure you’re not using hard water in general for your plants (the nursery you got it from might’ve just used an outside hose to water all their plants), I’ve also invested in some water conditioner to help my more picky plants with their tap water aversions lol. Secondly, try not to water your plants from the top and letting it splash all over the leaves, just water close to the soil and stems 😊
