I’m in dire need of giving these indoor plants (spices) a new chance at life. Any tips! 🙏✅ Each one is cilantro, oregano, (2) sage, (2) rosemary… they sit right next to my kitchen window.

i hate to say it but these might be too crispy. if attempting to save, first off the planters need to be entirely full of soil, not just the sides where the plants are. depending on your light situation (in my experience) the closest thing to outdoor full sun is what makes herbs thrive. i might suggest a grow light.

いいね 1件Cilantro is an annual with a short lifespan. If you want to raise that one multiple years in a row, you'd either harvest or rebuy seeds. Oregano is a perennial that needs a winter dormancy, but it can die if the winter is too cold. To grow that one every year, your best bet is to plant it outside and use mulch to help protect it from harsh cold. Sage is also a perennial that should die back in winter, so plant that outside as well. Rosemary is an evergreen, so if it has lost all its leaves, it's dead. If you want to keep perennials indoors, you can simulate winter by putting them in a fridge (and reduce watering. Make sure to give them fresh air occasionally)
