   I don't have a bonsai, but I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be in a shallow dish. Perhaps that's the problem? Idk tho so don't rely on my info

     Yes, it should be shallow. I don't have one either by I do know that's valid!

   Shallow dish, and a well draining, bonsai potting mix, check the roots to make sure there isn't any rotting, a free draining shallow dish and saucer is best for these guys from my experience, they like a good drink but water needs to drain away/through, they don't like to sit in wet soil, try repotting and monitoring closely, they can sometimes be fussy if moved around and tend to drop leaves 🙂, sometimes they do into dormancy too this time of year, scrape the stem to see if it's green underneath, if it is, then there is life 🙂
