Help please. Got curly about a month ago and have noticed the tips of some of the arms are dying. Is this normal for Drosera capensis? Is it part of the life cycle? Thank you Barbara

    Idk about carnivorous plants but it looks like it might be part of its life cycle bc all the lowest ones are dying and the newer ones look fine

    They aren't a carni- that goes into winter dormancy. They will lose older leaves and it is kinda a slow process Are you leaving it in a tray of water? Using tap, DI, rain?

      I’m only using distilled water, but I did think she was a carni? Maybe because I got her from California Carnivores… 🥴

    I think i worded that wrong. She IS a carnivorous plant. She's NOT a carnivorous plant that goes into winter dormancy, like a Venus fly trap or sarracenia. She looks healthy, I think you're just seeing older leaves dying back. Usually if something is wrong, especially not enough water, you'll see less "dew" production. I keep mine in about 3/4" DI or RO water
