Hey, so I know someone who loves plants (she has like 20+) but she really doesn’t have the time to take care of them. I go over to her house at least once a week and we chat and she lets me clean them up a little when needed (which she really appreciates). She wants to keep them alive but just doesn’t have the time to do research on what she has, or do any care other than water them. She tends to treat them all the same when it comes to watering, which doesn’t work out the best lol (she has succulents and pothos and they get watered the same). She seemed to be open to advice, and I was wondering if she can find an efficient way to keep her plants alive? Thanks! 😁

    I would suggest she do the chop stick method for watering. It’s what I do and I have close to 100 plants. I poke the soil and if there’s soil on it I don’t water and if it comes out clean I water it. Also For succulents I do a taco test where you squeeze the leaves and if they fold like a taco then it’s time to water but it’s they’re hard and don’t fold easily then I don’t water. Also making sure they’re good air circulation can help prevent pest and help the plants stay clean longer. I have a small fan in the room with my plants and I keep a humidifier to help with moisture. I hope this helps. It’s small changes that don’t take much time and make a huge difference for me!
