I bought this plant from Lowe’s on clearance and i’m having an issue identifying it. Also, I cut the brown off of the leaves which didn’t leave much. The one stem has been that brownish- reddish color since I got it but I’m not sure what’s causing it. Any ideas?
The leaves remind me of a dieffenbachia, which is a pretty common and easy to care for houseplant.

Homalomena Selby! The most beautiful green leaves but hates being underwatered. Its normal for the stems of new growth to express light brown and turn to green if that brown stem is in the center
