    Are you watering with tap water? Calatheas like distilled/rainwater. I water with treated water. How often are you watering? I water when the first one inch of soil gets dry. How is the humidity? It likes a humid environment

      I’ll use rain water and I water it once a week

    A major thing with calathea’s and their cousins is their lime sensitivity in tap water. They really hate it more than other plants. There’s quite a few options to solve this, it really just depends on your budget and involvement. Secondly, the leaves curling could be a sign of over or underwatering. I’m going to go ahead and guess underwatering (unless you are watering nearly every day) since they love moist soil. Especially as the heat kicks up I’m watering mine every 4-5 days. I typically bottom water in which i let the plant/pot sit in a bowl or sink filled with water for at least an hour, then remove it. It helps the soil absorb the water better so it does not become hydrophobic and make it more difficult for the roots to get to it.

      Genuinely I’ve stopped caring about humidity because my environment is already around 50-60% humidity. This is very location-based though, I would not give that advice to someone who lives in a more desert-like climate. The most I’ve done with it is keeping it in a regularly-used bathroom and it enjoyed it, even though it only had artificial light.

      Thank you so much I will use rain water as I have to for my other plants i water it like once a week I’ll water it just like you said from now on 🙏🙏🙏

      I live in ga we have high humidity do you think that’s good I don’t have a bathroom with a window

      Yea probably, or use a growlight (i like the Sansi brand). Although I know they’re not the most attractive lol If it doesn’t help after awhile (the leaves won’t go back to normal but you’d see improvement by the leaves not limping and healthy new leaves emerging) then you may try a smaller pot size or a more well-draining soil that still allows for moisture retention, like a chunky soil mix. The pot looks like a 6” but it could be the angle, I’d go with just 2” smaller than what it is. Snug, but not suffocating.

      I have a glow light as well does it look good or do I need a new light?? I’ll definitely do a smaller pot and the soil thing as well thank you so much
