Can someone please tell me why my plant’s leaves are turning yellow? I took off the really bad ones, but I don’t know what’s wrong or how to fix it. I’m really new to this.

Do you let the soil dry out all the way between watering? Also, how much sun is it getting?

It’s getting as much sun as I can give it right now. I’m gonna try waiting a bit longer before I water it.

My app says water only every 14 days. And then I bottom water it. Succulents like Jade don’t like wet soil. I potted mine in special cactus soil

I’m not sure where you live, but my new plant lady has propagated over 200 succulents here in Texas and she recently told me that succulents like conditions as close to the California climate. So, dry/low humidity, sun during the day (but not during the hottest part of the day), slightly cooler at night. Avoid extreme heat and any cold below let’s say, 40F. Plant in rocky substrate in a pot with drainage holes in the bottom. You don’t want the roots to stay wet (that might be why yoursis yellowing). Water only when soil is completely dried. If the leaves you took off are still plump and firm, you can leave them out on a window sill (given it doesn’t get super hot) or under a grow light and eventually some of them can start to grow roots (circled in the attached picture) and you can propagate more succulents.

Thank you. I thought I had been waiting for the soil to dry out completely, but I’ll give it extra time.
