This is Victoria, a ti plant inherited from my grandma. Victoria has lived with my family and I for about a year, and she has suffered some...neglect. As you can see, she is currently Not Doing So Hot™️ but she's still alive and I want to know, how can I save her? * I have bought a new terracotta pot with drainage, and some miracle-grow tropical plant food for starters, though I haven't repotted and fertilized yet. I must also note that the golden pothos babies that are in there (placed by mom) are pretty decisively entangled with the ti plant. I just checked the roots.

Poor Vic… how much light does she get? Maybe a grow light because they like light. Misting frequently, they love humidity unlike my hair ☺️ when was she last fertilized?

Vic is still a little unwell but she doesn't seem to be getting any worse. Since this post, she has been repotted in a terra cotta container with drainage, and been moved to a spot with indirect light. She doesn't get misted very often though, if at all. The leaf edges are curled under like they are not getting enough humidity in the air.

They love humidity and bright indirect light. I bought grow lights from Amazon to help save mine during the winter months. Alabama is very hot and humid, but I would give her more light and daily misting. 🙏🏻

Oh I live way up north it's no wonder she started going awry this winter. I repotted her in a terra cotta pot that is the same size as the old plastic one, but do you think container size may also be an issue?

Good job! She looks better already 👏🏻👏🏻 if her stem is weak, u can always support her till she’s stronger with a plant holder or rod of some sort. What happened to the Pothos?

Oh the pothos has its own container now. The plants are still neighbors. ☺️

Thank you for your knowledge too, I love being able to talk to people who Know Things on here instead of having to use oddly specific google searches for my plant questions and hoping for the best 😂

Oh hon, I’m not a professional by any means. I know what has worked for me and pass it along. I will do most anything to save a plant.. I love them.. can’t help but get attached to them. Google is still my go to when all else is falling 😂

Ah well, still, the niche solutions that other people discover by trial and error can often be very helpful!
