Hi 👋🏻, I received this plant from a friend a few months ago. She divided it and repotted it from her original very healthy plant. She doesn’t know what type of plant it is. It doesn’t seem happy and I’m not sure what to do, any suggestions? How can I save her?
That’s a peace lily! It looks a little under watered. Check the roots for root rot (you’ll smell it and the roots will be soft, mushy and brown if you have rot). If the roots look healthy, give it some water and chop ALL the crispy leaves, and if you want to, you can also trim the crisp on the tips of the leaves. Give humidity as well! Good luck <3

I was also about to say underwatered. These plants are notorious for being dramatic so they give you a lot of leniency in telling you that they’re dying.😂

Yikes! I just repotted mine. I hope she doesn’t get that dramatic.
Thank you. I hope to repot it this weekend. Hopefully it’s not root rot. I’ll definitely take off the brown leaves. 🍂

This same exact thing happened to me! I just posted about my peace lily too. But what I did years ago to save it (it was dying of root rot), I placed it in water. It was thriving for years!
