Hello all, So I got this plant back in June as a gift and unfortunately I have taken very poor care of it. It has been sat on and dropped far too many times as well as got root rot or something from over watering. I cut the black part of the roots and stem off and let it sit out to “callous” over and then proceeded to place it into damp soil. I have not seen any improvements. I also have leaves that have fallen off and started sprouting since I just put them into the soil, not knowing what would happen. Can someone please help me identify it and nurture it back to health??

    I’ve had succulent leaves start to grow new sprouts all on their own, they just kind of do their thing. When the “mother leaf” dries off you can pick it off and transplant the new baby into its new home. It should have substantial roots of its own by then. As for the main plant, I agree to cut off any root rot. Maybe soak in a hydrogen peroxide solution to get rid of any bad bacteria that might still be hanging around? And if you have any rooting hormone maybe try that before putting the callused end back into soil. That’s at least what I did with some tropical cuttings and it seemed to work. Except I put the cuttings in water not soil. Succulents don’t seem to like water as much so I pretty much leave mine dry and spray maybe once every two weeks and just let it be. Good luck!
