Help! New user here, my twisty fern looks like this and I really need some help to nurse her back to health. I looked it up and was previously over-watering her but stopping that for a while hasn’t helped. Also, for some reason I can’t find twisty fern on the Planta app, does it have another name I should be using? The photo identifier doesn’t bring up this species. Thanks in advance!
If you haven’t already I would pop it out of the pot and check the roots for any rot (mushy, black, smelly); cut off the rotted roots & do a hydrogen peroxide soak. There are better directions for the full process on YouTube/online than I can give. I would also use fresh soil when repotting just in case any bacteria from any previous rot got into it. I’m not familiar with that plant name, though I have had success googling the plant name to see what its scientific name is and searching that on Planta.

I had trouble with mine as well, definitely looks like it has been overwatered. What I did with mine was snip all yellowing leaves at the bottom, then take it out of the pot, inspect the roots, snip the ones that are mushy/rotting. Then plant it in new soil and don’t water it. It should start to perk up. I misted a bit every few days and watered it only when it was dry ( for the first 1-2 times according to plants watering schedule) soon the new leaves should start to show up in the middle. My plant started to straighten up first then changed its colour to light green ( the colour will depend on much damaged it endured ) when it looked like it was on the mend I snipped few more damaged leaves. And bit by bit it recovered.
