I’m a new plant parent as of a couple weeks ago. Within the last couple days my peace lily is starting to brown and lean over. I am on time with watering, misting, and cleaning. Im not sure if this is normal or if I should do something. Thanks in advance 🙂

mine is having the same issues!! im thinking it might be too much light? but the leaves arent burning, so maybe since the flowers are white they are more sensitive to the sun/my grow light…

This was this mornings look & today was water day. I’m on time with my daily duties according to the apps daily reminders. I’m not sure how to water it, but I dump a lot of filtered water into the soil the last couple times and it’s keeping it alive. But when it comes to the water day it is falling over like this. My home is usually at 70 degrees and it never received direct sunlight. There is some sunlight that comes in but it shines about 5 feet away. Today, I watered it a lot and I put it back in the plastic coaster and put more water in the coaster. It absorb it all within a hour. I put more in shortly after and it absorb not much more. Now i dumped the standing water and I’ll wait and see how well it lasts until the next water day according to the app.

Peace Lilly plants are really good at communicating that they are thirsty. Your plant is thirsty. Don’t take Planta app as the gospel truth. They are guidelines. Listen to your plant. It is getting the brown because you keep delaying watering. What the Planta app does not know is how your plants roots are doing and your plant might have a lot of good thick roots and just need more water more often. To check if plant needs watered; look at plant - are leaves drooping, lift pot - is pot light, put finger in soil- is soil dry 1/2-1/3 the way down the pot. If the answer is yes- water plant.
