Hi friends, sorry in advance for the long explanation. TLDR; can I fix her? My grandma gave me her old peace lily (without telling me) and it started having problems with overwatering because the soil wasn’t chunky enough. I went to put in new soil, found a rolly polly, and freaked out (I know they’re harmless but not to my psyche). I left it alone for way too long and then finally fixed it, but now it looks like this. I cut off some dead leaves a few days ago but she really isn’t doing well. Is she fixable? The roots look good.

    Peace lilies are drama queens. They get like this when they are thirsty. Is the soil dry? When was the last time you watered it?

      I watered it a few days ago but maybe not enough, it’s kinda dry right now I’m scared to overwater it but I’ll def give it a nice soak right now

      A few days ago is pretty recent. Is there drainage? Keep in mind overwatering is watering too often, not usually the amount of water used. I’m not an expert though!

      Yeah I think it was more like a week, but the bottom part of the soil is damp enough for me to be hesitant to water it because I overwatered it previously. The thing may or may not have been sitting in my dim kitchen for two weeks because I was terrified there was an infestation so I think that the leaves are cooked

    I have my Grandpa’s and it was doing badly. After looking at the roots, I found some were rotting so I cleaned them up and repotted it, moved it to a brighter location and it is near a humidifier. I also took a start from it to propagate, in case the mother plant died. It is doing well now. Good luck. They are moody. 🪴
