Hi guys, I just bought my first VFT and was wondering if y'all could spare some tips to help take care of it! Like food options, light, cutting dead leaves, etc. anything! also what does 'dormant' mean??

    I dont know much about venus flytraps but dormancy is when plants save their energy when they are preparing for cold or dry weather they mostly go into dormancy before winter. Because they're saving energy they won't be growing like usual.

    Hey! I tend to cut the brown leaves off just to try and stem new growth and only ever water with rain water. Mine is near a window so that it gets some sun in the morning and early afternoon but not so much after that

    I was told constant (rain) water in a dish underneath and full sun. I got two that looked rough a few months ago and set up this type of regiment. I checked on them the other day and they’re growing babies!
