Does anyone have any realistic suggestions regarding what I can do during the winter for my plant's health? I live in New York and my older house can be chilly and dry when it’s cold out, regardless of having the heat on (it sucks for me, too!) I’ve tried a humidifier but it only made it colder and didn’t help my plants overall :(
I recommend checking out The Jungle Haven on Youtube; she has a video called “Spend Less + Keep Your Houseplants Thriving This Winter,” which may help a lot! While humidity is helpful, focusing on lighting is probably the most important thing. In the video she talks about ways to increase lighting besides just grow lights (though those are obviously the biggest thing that helps). You could also try heating pads for reptiles/seedlings on your plants if you really think that the cold may be the issue!

You could try a warm humidifier, the cool was are real meh. I agree with making sure lighting is good. And mist them. The continuous spray bottles are the best. Especially if you start seeing brown tips on anything.

You could try putting your plants in a humidity box or cabinet to help with the dry winter air. Like a mini indoor greenhouse basically! I’ve been using these handbag organizer boxes from Amazon, and my plants are absolutely loving them. They’re pretty cheap and consistently stay around 80-90% humidity! ❤️
