My good friend Robert here is sad. I rescued him from drowning and lack of light by derooting, repotting in a perlite/bark/soil mix and moving closer to a window around 10 days ago and he is being incredibly sad about it all. I did everything that planta doctor/care told me to do based on how he looked before and if anything he looks a lot worse. Can anybody assist? I’ve attached photos from before and now!

0개 좋아요 I gave a little water when I repotted him, but because he was practically drowning before I didn’t want to over water !! He’s due to be watered tomorrow though

0개 좋아요 They are very dramatic it’s probably a combination of moving it, repotting it, etc. I completely agree that ficus can be difficult to care for, but you’ll get the hang of it! I killed my first one but now have 4 🤪 If it perks back up in this spot never move it again 😂.

Rubber trees are cursed. Idk anyone who has one that’s thriving or who doesn’t struggle with them! I’d check the roots to make sure there isn’t rot! If there is, you can cut the dead roots back, dip him in some rooting hormone, and replant him
0개 좋아요 Oh no!!! Not ideal haha ! When I repotted him 10 days ago to save from drowning his roots were all perfectly healthy still, got there in time ! Can’t decide if he’s just sulking or not ahah
