Advice needed. I transferred my watermelon plant from a raised bed to in the ground. The first picture was less than 12 hours I moved it. The second picture is what it looked like before. The app suggested water it more. Day 3, and it still looks like this. Any magical tips?

Depending on where the bed your moved it from was it could be the amount of sun it’s getting vs what it was getting before. Another answer could be vine borers that are in the soil but weren’t yet in the soil of the raised bed.How much has it been watered? I personally leave a drip hose or slow running water how on newly planted things for about an hour to make sure it’s fully soaked

Thank you Josie! The watermelon is getting more sun than before. Will it adjust? I was also worried if I didn’t get all the small roots…I appreciate the advice

The sun can be a big factor it changes the temp a lot when having more sun exposure which can cause the plant to wilt. It should adjust but make sure it’s extremely well watered to help it you can also try shading it on and off throughout the sunniest part of the day to help it adjust in small increments.

It could just be in shock from transplant. It should adjust to the new light conditions in a week or two keep it watered. Freshly transplanted plants need lots of water, just be careful not to water mid-day (peak sunlight hours) as this could cause sunburn. It’s best to water early morning/dusk
