So, I’m living in New York and only have NORTH FACING WINDOWS. Therefore, my plants that prefer at least partial sun are not getting any sun. I want them to grow big and beautiful so am considering grow lights and would appreciate any good guidance for a beginner. If it’s any help these are the plants I have: Rubber Plant Ponytail Palm Prayer Plant Corn Plant Velvet Leaf Philodendron
i started using a SANSI grow light about 6 months ago and it’s done absolutely amazing. it really really makes a difference. they’re pretty cheap on amazon, but come with just a bulb. just screw it into any lamp it fits. it’s a great way to keep the aesthetic of your home :)

Grow lights can be beautiful! A grow bulb (or any bright bulb) can be used in any fixture or lamp that can handle high wattage. I don’t have fancy stuff, but I have a few areas where the grow lights have been dressed up a bit.

North-facing for my place too (bedroom and my balcony) so I’m using grow lights too. Some came with the stand, the others in a two-pack from Amazon so there’s one one my bedroom stand and one clipped to my living room one!
