Any suggestion on how to care for this Calathea Orbifolia? I just purchased it from Trader Joe’s three days ago. Two leaves arent doing so well and some leaves have very flimsy stems. The room is big and lets in a lot of light with no direct sunlight; but it was cloudy the past 3 days. I’ve also been misting the leaves on occasion

Beautiful orbifolia, I’m tempted to get one myself! Calatheas are pretty dramatic, but with the right care you should be set. Two very important things to note is that they HATE tap water, so water them with distilled or rainwater. And they also LOVE humidity, so you will have to invest in a humidifier. Misting isn’t really going to do anything, in fact it has more cons than pros, so definitely look into a humidifier. Additionally, when you do get one, make sure that the mist doesn’t actually get on the leaves, because the goal is to make the room more humid. The lighting it’s in should be fine though, and just prune the yellow leaves on the bottom. I would also check for pests now, so that I’m the event that there is an infestation, you caught it early on and not later.

Thank you so much I appreciate all the help, yeah I’ll prune the bottom leaves and I’ll move them to a smaller room upstairs which gets similar light so I can use a humidifier easier
