    I haven’t been at this long myself, but a water meter was a game changer for me. I had been going by the instructions for when to water, not sure if I was feeling soil that was ready for more water with the finger test. This told me exactly how dry or wet my soil was. Plant leaves tend to show similar signs (to me, no pro) with too much or too little water. It’s a place to start anyway.

    The tomatoes were probably killed by either underwatering or root rot. The begonia and philodendron look like thier issues might be fungal or root rot. Improve pot drainage and make sure root tips aren't sitting in water long term. You can also check for root health (same process as repotting, but if they look fine you can put everything back unchanged)
