My mom’s really big succulent died, and this little one was left uprooted out of the soil sitting on the top. I want to keep it alive, but I’m not sure what to do. Do I leave it in a cup of water until it roots a little more? Do I need to put it in soil? It has little tiny roots about the size of rice.

Do not keep it there a succulent can’t be propagated like that put it in soil bc it will get root rot in water
1 mi piaceSucculents actually do better when they’re put directly into soil. They can survive like that, but it’s extremely likely to get root rot and die in water.
